So Jon bought me a few new bras fo Christmas, which I was in need of. My girls have only ever seen me in one or two bras, EVER, so they have been quite interested in the looks of my new ones. They have also made a few comments over the last couple years regarding "mom's boobs". Including, among others, Avery telling me one morning as I was getting dressed "mom, I really like your boobs", very matter of factly and casual like she was complementing my shirt or something. We had a good laugh about that one.
So this morning, noticing my new bras in the bag on the floor (I had to exchange a couple), Mayson pulled one out and was looking at the fancy stitching and stuff.
Mayson - Mom can I try this on?
Me - Sure. Go ahead.
She puts it on (minus shirt of course) and looks in the mirror.
Mayson - Haha! I look so funny!
Me - Yep, you look pretty silly!
Mayson - Can I put my shirt over top?
Me - If you want to.
She put her shirt on over top, walked over to the mirror and a HUGE grin immediately showed up.
Mayson - Mom! Now I look like you!
Me - Ya, almost! ( as I try to contain my snickers)
Avery comes in.
Avery - Mayson what are you wearing?
Mayson - One of mom's new bras. Do you want to try one on? (rhetorical question I think)
Avery - Yes.
So Avery puts one on, and goes through the same process.
Mayson - Now we look like you now mom!
Avery - Mayson, it really looks like you have boobs!
Mayson - I know, and they're BIG!
After a few adjustments......
Mayson - I will get my big boobs for real when I turn 5. (which is in one and a half months. What a fun present that would be though)
Mom - Um, it will be more like when you're 11 or 12 probably.
Mayson - Oh. But will they be big like yours?
Mom - Maybe, we'll have to see. Everybody is different.
We then came downstairs for breakfast.
Mayson with my hot pink sports bra on. She looks a little lumpy, but she was very proud!
Avery with my blush colored bra on. She looks a little more shapely.
Oh the joys of being a girl!!

This might be the best post I have ever read!! Haha, you're girls are so funny! Loved it.
I respect your openness with the girls. How nice that the person they feel most comfortable with is also comfortable in letting them practice being a lady. Thanks for sharing...I'm learning the girl thing ... through you.
I had no idea you had a blog. So fun! Just know that I will be checking it every so often! I love blog stalking after all!
Also, I love this post. I just had to laugh. I can't wait until Remy asks to try on my bra. That will be quite the day!
