Mayson's first field trip! She was SO EXCITED to get to ride a bus! We went to the High River Hospital, and Mayson's teacher was worried that I would go into labor (she even told the principal that a 'pregnant mother' was coming 'just in case') but I figured that would be the best place for me to be :). The kids had fun looking at some X-rays and guessing what they were, and we even got to meet a 1 day old little baby.

On the way back to the school....

Mayson said "I'm just going to rest my eyes for a minute". Multiply that by 45...

Avery said "mom take a picture, me and Roewyn are wearing the same dress just opposite colors. So we are half twins".

Roewyn colored a picture and came running to show me. I told her to go put it on the fridge. I went to get a drink of water and found this.....

Mayson and Avery's letters to the Easter Bunny. They each drew a picture of them and the bunny, and Avery even put money in hers (she likes to give people money in cards).

Enjoying the hunt....

Avery CLUTCHING her prized finds. I think Easter is her favorite holiday besides Christmas. Guess why....

Roewyn cracking into her loot. The Bunny came to our house on Saturday morning cuz we went to my new niece's baby blessing on sunday in Raymond. We had a fun weekend sleeping over at Great Grandma & Grandpa's house in Cardston and spending time with family! Blaise is sure sweet and I am sad that they will be gone for the next 4 months :(

Avery is always the first to ask if she can hold Trey. She sure loves him.

The older girls are getting very good at holding him and carrying him around. It only lasts for a couple minutes though. Avery said "mom how can you do this all day, he is SO heavy".

Roewyn said to me "mom, I'm kind of tired, and maybe I will fall asleep". I left her alone for about 2 minutes. And she is now soother free!!! The first night we cut her off, I told her that it will wreck her teeth if she keeps using it and she said "well I don't even want my teeth anymore". And after about 10 minutes of yelling "it's not fair!" from her bed, she went to sleep. The next night she asked for her soothers, I said "you don't use soothers anymore remember?" and she said "oh ya, haha, I forgot!" and went right to bed. Big girl!

First day of soccer! Avery learning to dribble...

Mayson awaiting instruction...

They are sure having fun being on the same team as their cousins! And Roewyn has lots of fun running around with Sadie. The second week, the field was SUPER mucky and wet, and Roewyn and Sadie thought it would be fun to lay on their tummies in a mud puddle RIGHT before we were going to leave for home - needless to say, Roewyn's sweater is now ruined.

Mayson in goal and Avery on the chase! Each kid on the team gets a turn in goal during the game, and when its Avery's turn, she spends the majority of the time swaying her hips and twirling - she is funny to watch. And she SKIPS/runs to get the ball. She is such a GIRL!

We went to the track one night to practise some bike riding. Mayson was having a little trouble going from stopped to going, and she did not want to go to the track, saying "I'll just learn when I am 7". We got to the track, Jon put her bike on the ground and she TOOK OFF! I was teasing her "and you wanted to wait til you were 7" and she was trying to hide her smirk. Silly girl. And Roewyn is a speed demon on her trike. She is really good at staying with her big sisters when they are playing outside, and most of the time I just see glimpses of her as she zooms past the front window :).

Mayson rode around the track 3 whole times without stopping. When she did stop she told me 'man that 3rd time around was sure tiring!"

Avery all smiles!
I am looking forward to LOTS of outdoor time this spring & summer! I have never been really against winter, but ever since Mayson started school, and I've had to pack up all the kids to take her every morning, I've come to REALLY dislike it! Thankfully when her and Avery go to Percy Pegler next year, Avery has some kids in her class from primary so I can arrange carpooling. Not looking forward to winter AT ALL. If it would just snow a bit at Christmas, that would be fine and all that is desired I think. So hopefully we get LOTS of sunny days this summer!

So cute! The track is the best place for them to learn to ride their bikes. That is where we took Emma and Sophia and it worked so well. Love their huge smiles :)
