Christmas Time

The tree! They were pretty excited to go pick out the tree, and kind of disappointed that we had to wait a day to decorate it.

The finished gingerbread house, the first one we've ever done. I was thinking about making one from scratch, but then I saw some at the grocery store and figured it would be way faster and easier. Maybe someday when I am feeling more ambitious. Avery didn't want to be in the picture, and all the other ones had Mayson sticking out her tongue.

They basically decorated the roof of the house, then spent the rest of the time eating sprinkles. I was sweeping up red and green sprinkles for about 3 days after, and vacuuming up the glittering morsels on the carpet. What fun....

We absolutely LOVE Christmas! I love seeing the lights everywhere and the music and just the warm feeling that it brings. I feel very blessed to have everything that we do, especially at Christmas time. I am thankfull that all of our family is close by and that we have the means to celebrate and make it special and fun for the girls. Christmas really brings a different kind of excitement once you have kids. It becomes all about making it special for them. I look forward to it all year and can't wait for next year!
