Mayson's 4th

The purses that the girls made. I was a dolt and forgot that puff paint requires 24 hours to dry, they could only do one side of them. Clockwise from top left: Cera's, Anna's, Nyssa's, Mayson's and Avery's. Mayson's kind of looks like a crime scene, she thought that it was 'colored glue'. She did the other side of hers the same way the next day. Its lovely.

Blowing out the candles. There was actually 13 of them because they didn't have any 4's at the store, and she saw balloon candles that had 'Happy Birthday' written on them, so she had to get those ones. After about 5 blows, she got them all out.

Opening all her presents. She got a pretty good haul. With her money from Anna and G&G Richards, she got the Fisher Price DVD player, so thank you Anna and Grandma and Grandpa! She had another couple toys picked out to purchase, but once I showed her the option of the DVD player, she very willingly put them back on the shelf with a little smirk on her face. She has wanted on ever since Uncle Mike got one for Christmas. But pink of course.

More presents....

Her rainbow cake. She started talking about cakes in January, and she wanted me to 'do the rainbow, but put flowers where the clouds are supposed to be'. Ummm, no. Mayson and Avery helped me sort out all the Smarties, and Mayson said 'I love sorting. This is the best part'.

As I am reading 'Mayson is 4', I am welling up. I can't believe she is 4 already. She is getting so grown up and so smart, she amazes me everyday. She is such a big help to her sisters, I don't even have to ask her to do anything most of the time, she just knows what to do. And she is always so quick to help others. I am constantly told by her primary teachers how sweet and helpful she is. She is very independant and craves doing things by herself. She tells me 'just show me once then I will do it by myself'. She is becoming a very sweet, caring, smart, fun, imaginative and self-reliant beautiful girl- but all too quickly. We are very proud of our Mayson and we love love love her.

We love her too. We really need to get the kids together to play more often. Cute post.

What a great birthday party!! It's really hard to believe how fast they grow up, isn't it? Congrats on a beautiful girl...
PS - Love the cake, I just might steal that idea for my next one...

Hey MacKenzie, I just posted a comment but it was under a different email that I don't really use. Anyways, I just happened upon your blog tonight and am excited to follow it. Looks like your party was a blast and you thought of a lot of cute ideas.
