Sick and Sunny Days

Not really sure what Roewyn was trying to accomplish- She layed on the floor with her jeans and kicked and fussed for about 10 minutes. I don't know if she was trying to put them on, but I tried taking them from her and she got even more mad. So I gave them back and she continued to fuss but a little less, so she seemed to enjoy her despair. She's a weird one. She is also going to sleep on her own now. It was discovered kind of by accident, I just layed her down one night because she was super tired, but couldn't find a comfortable position in my arms. She cried for about 5 minutes, then slept all night. I did this again the next night, and for the last week I have done this every night except one when she fell asleep in my arms. The last few days she has only wanted to fall asleep on her own. Its LOVELY!! Neither of the other girls did this, so this is a treat.

So we had a very nice sunny day, and took some advantage. We made a 'baby snowman', because we only had baby carrots for the nose (as per Mayson). We did celery arms (wilted obviously- but it does give it a more realistic look don't you think? :) and chocolate chip eyes and buttons. Avery was the chocolate chip handler, so not surprisingly she would eat a few, then hand me one. There are 6 on the snowman, so she probably had about 25. The girls were very proud!

And we made a slide out of all the snow in the front. It wasn't super huge, but it did the trick!

I made some steps for them to climb up the back of it, and Mayson was telling Avery 'make sure you use the steps that mom made so you don't slip and fall'. About 2 seconds later Mayson lost her balance and rolled off the side.

This is what our bed and children looked like for about 3 days. We all had the cough-due-cold (except Roewyn thank goodness) so we had a few VERY lazy days of movie watching and low-impact home maintainance. The girls were in pretty good spirits considering the nose wiping and coughing. And they both had a few uncharacteristic naps. This was a typical scene, they were eating apples dipped in yogurt. And notice the wad on tissue on the night stand. Thankfully its over.....

Oh, how sad that they were sick. I hope that's over and done with. What a fun time in the snow though. That seems wonderful. Aren't you so LOVING this wonderful weather??

That is the cutest little snowman I've ever seen.

First time I got to see your headboard too. I love it.

And in response to one of your posts: yes, I got the dress from Superstore. It's my favorite and it sounds like we can have matching girls :)
