Camping Trips '09

That's right. TripS. Plural. We are lucky to have generous parents who invite us to share their accomodations and sustenance and we all have a great time. These are just a few pictures from our 3 trips out.....(and they are totally not in order, they just uploaded this way, don't know why)

Grandpa helping Mayson fish.

Mayson, Avery and cousins Cera and Emily out for a float

Cousin Emily fell asleep with a cookie in her hand....

Mayson "sun tanning like a big person".

Mayson turned into quite the fish this year. She was always wanting to go float far out by herself (only with an adult) and would just run in and swim. Avery was a little more timid. It wasn't until the third trip out that she would sit in a floatie without an adult within arms reach.

Avery digging in the sand. I think she looks so grown up in this picture. She told me she "wants her hair like mom's".

Avery and Grandpa share a birthday, and it fell on a day that we were camping. So we celebrated at the campsite with yummy dinner and cake.

She was pretty excited about getting Jumanji from G&G Richards.

Roewyn wasn't a huge fan of the water our first trip out, but she eventually liked it. This is from our second trip, and she was out of the floatie about 54 seconds after this was taken. By the third trip, she was walking in all by herself, but only up to her bum. She still didn't like it on her upper body that much....hopefully next year!
Mayson the Valkyrie. She said she was 'like the mermaid from Backyardigans'.

Avery's 'caught butterfly'.

Mayson, Avery and cousin Cera painting rocks. Jon did one as well, that is his arm.

Mayson posing with her caught butterfly. We got a butterfly net at Value Village for $0.99, and the girls were pretty excited to bring it with us.

Avery at the lake. Everytime camping was mentioned, she would say 'I'm so decited to go to camping!"

Roewyn enjoying one of her own bag of Popcorn Twists, one of her favorite snacks. She loves to sit in chairs by herself.
The 2-headed mermaid....

Mayson's "first sand castle that I built all by myself".....

All the girls sitting around the fire the very first night we were there.

We stopped at the Lundbreck Falls on the way down. Roewyn was just too excited to be out of her car seat that she didn't want to sit still. We tried 3 times to get a picture and the others are pretty much like this.

Um, do you have a clone tool that produces your children?? Just curious. What fun camping tripS. We, too, did the crazy and went camping this year. Yikes. It just keeps getting harder and harder...
